There is an organization called “Krebshilfe”in Upper Austria which supports the fight against cancer with financial means.

Many years ago our school decided to join this charity campaign by collecting money in a very special way.

Once a year kids of our school voluntarily do a door to door collection in their corresponding neighbourhoods. They are on their way in groups of two, knock on people´s door and ask for a donation for the “Oberösterreichische Krebshilfe”.
Our school was very successful over the past years and we collected more than 44 400 Euros.

Thus the kids learn two things in one go – getting money for an important charity organization  and the social aspect of helping others who suffer from a terrible disease.
